At the heart of Regional Victoria lies a dynamic dance scene that has been shaping the lives of dancers for decades. THE BIG DANCE aims to unite this vibrant dance community for a spectacular day filled with workshops, seminars, and activities that celebrate the art of dance.
On Friday 4th October (the last day of the September school holidays!) the Geelong Sports Hub in South Geelong will be a buzz of activity for dancers aged 2-18 years.
Industry professionals (Zoee Marsh, Hara Papoulias, Kelly Aykers, Nadia Tornese) will take a series of workshops throughout the day.
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking to dip your toes into the world of dance, THE BIG DANCE offers something for everyone. There will be programs for toddlers (2-5 years), early primary (5 – 6 years) later primary students (7 - 11 years), secondary-aged students (12 - 18 years) and an all-abilities program!
The festival wraps up with an all-inclusive disco, where dancers can let loose, embrace the freedom of freestyle dance, and truly enjoy the moment! (dance like nobody is watching!)
